Job Title – VB.Net Programmer, Location - Atlanta, GA

Job Description:

Position is ideal for a college graduate who majored in Computer Science and is looking for an opportunity to apply their understanding of Visual Studio and SQL Server coupled with Coldfusion. Build tangible and practical applications from conception to deployment and take ownership of the entire software development life cycle. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain tons of experience while working in a fun, fast paced environment.

Job Skills:

  • Visual Basic / .NET – The development of applications that drive external devices such as scanners and thermal transfer printers. Also, the conversion of core applications to NT services such as building thumbnails from TIFF or JPG images.
  • Coldfusion – The ability to construct web interfaces using CFCs and custom tags. Integration of Javascript for data validation and enhanced program behavior on the client-side. Use of CSS to maintain consistent look and feel.
  • SQL Server - Design of normalized relational database structures. The building of diagrams, views, triggers and stored procedures to improve total solution performance and data integrity.
  • SQL Reporting Services – The deployment of web based reports using Microsoft’s Business Development Studio with integration into the Coldfusion and .NET platforms.
  • Collaboration – Use of existing architecture to minimize development time while adding foundational infrastructure that other programmers can leverage within synergistic solutions.

Experience & Education:

College Graduate with 0 to 5 Years. BS in Computer Science or related degree is required. MCP or other certifications would be a plus. *** YOU WILL BEGIN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS BY TAKING AN EXAM *** • 15 Questions – Coldfusion • 14 Questions – Visual Basic / .NET • 10 Questions – SQL Server (The exam is not hard but will confirm your knowledge before continuing the interview.)
